Hello Everyone,
I love being in Nature and greatly enjoyed sharing my reel recently, of walking barefoot across the grass, grounding myself, tapping into the energy and thrum of the earths energies. Paying attention to the sensations across and around my feet, sensing the changes of the earth below the grass, slowing my steps and allowing each part of my foot to spread across the surfaces, so beneficial in lowering my stress levels, easing my anxiety, releasing oxcytocin.
Even in this more fallow time in Nature, let yourself be in Nature still, the benefits are real. Have a look at this article, it is so interesting. We can all experience how Nature supports and nourish us.

Simple Grounding Tip
Having bare feet on any surface is a brilliant way to ground us to becoming present again and again. We may not be able to walk outside so easily now as the cold weather arrives, but if you can, slip off your shoes and socks, let your feet rest into the earth, the grass, feel the dampness slip along the soles, between the toes, under the heels. Move slowly with each step and let the weight of your body rest deeply into step, sinking into the support and energy of the ground beneath you.
What I can I say? By Mary Oliver
“What can I say that I have not said before?
So I’ll say it again.
The leaf has a song in it.
Stone is the face of patience.
Inside the river there is an unfinishable story
and you are somewhere in it
and it will never end until all ends.
Take your busy heart to the art museum and
the chamber of commerce but take it also
to the forest.
The song you heard singing in the leaf when you
were a child is singing still.
I am of years lived, so far, seventy-four,
and the leaf is singing still.
A reflection of being in Autumn and how it grounds me.
With Autumn’s colours cascading all around me, I am reminded of the comforting rhythm of the cycle of the seasons; of the welcome smell of bonfires, the rich earthy dampness of the ground in the woods, vibrant mosses stark against logs and water, low golden setting sunsets, the crunch of leaves underfoot and nuts and berries being gathered by the squirrels. These moments in Nature, of being present in all my senses, even for a few moments, activates my parasympathetic nervous system. This liberates oxytocin, the feel good endorphin which has been shown to lower blood pressure, improve the immune system, soothe the over thinking mind and welcome in the appreciation of all that feels good into the moment, helping the following moments feel better. Make sure you ground yourself in Nature whenever you can.

What I Offer...
Get in touch
Mindfulness crept into my life about 12 years ago after I completed a Mindfulness Based Reduction for Stress Course [MBSR], offered by my workplace, a Hospice. The teachings touched a need in me to want to experience life in a calmer and more enjoyable way; to find ways to be present helpfully to the way my life was unfolding rather than engage in battling with the automatic behaviours with repeating conflicting thoughts and emotions, with all the attendant emotional and physical fallouts.
